Foster vs Adopt

Adopting a cat is a serious commitment, time-wise as well as financially.

Cats can live up to 20 (!) years. In a fast evolving world where changing jobs and country is a common thing to do in order to enhance careers and secure employment this is a long-term commitment. Take your potential live circumstances into account before committing.

Financially, it is important to look beyond the adoption fee. We urge adopters to keep in mind the annual need for boarding when on holiday, possible vet-bills and of course the transport and travel costs when leaving the country and taking the cat with you home.

Fostering is a great opportunity to enjoy a furry friend, if you are not sure to make the above mentioned commitments. Even if you don’t plan on leaving the UAE, if you answer yes to one or more of the following statements, fostering is the better choice for you:
